Dosage Guide
Dogs: 10-30 mg/kg PO twice to three times daily. Cats: 5-10 mg/kg PO twice to three times daily. Often used in combination with NSAIDs for multimodal pain management.

Important Warnings
- !Start at the low end of the dose range and titrate up
- !Sedation is usually transient (2-3 days) and resolves with continued use
- !Reduce dose in animals with renal impairment
- !Human formulations containing xylitol are TOXIC — use veterinary formulations
Contraindications
Do not use this medication in the following situations:
- ✕Known hypersensitivity
- ✕Human liquid formulations containing xylitol (FATAL to dogs)
