Dosage Guide

Dogs: 10-25 mg/kg PO twice daily. Cats: 10-15 mg/kg PO twice daily. Duration depends on condition (typically 5-10 days).

Side Effects

  • GI upset (vomiting, diarrhea, decreased appetite)
  • Lethargy
  • Neurological signs at high doses (ataxia, nystagmus, seizures)

Important Warnings

  • !Neurotoxic at high doses or with prolonged use — stop immediately if neurological signs appear
  • !Very bitter taste — use compounded formulation for cats if needed
  • !May be carcinogenic with long-term use (based on rodent studies)

Contraindications
